If you have never experienced the beauty of spring in the White Mountains of New Hampshire then this is the experience for you. The fields of pink and lavender lupines that grow every June in Sugar Hill New Hampshire are a sight to behold. Our leaders have been to Sugar Hill on numerous occasions and know all the best spots to capture these incredible spring flowers.
We will also be traveling to some waterfall locations to capture the spring runoff. An incredible waterfall experience is The Basin right off Rt. 93 in Franconia Notch. Avalanche falls at the Flume Gorge is also a stunning sight. Then we take a trip over to Crawford Notch to take in Silver Cascade Falls another beautiful location and along the way we hope to visit Sabbaday Falls in Grafton, NH on the Kancamagus Highway which in our opinion is one of NH’s best.
Lupine and Waterfall Itinerary
What gear do I bring? Our leaders are well versed with Canon, Nikon, Sony, Leica, Fuji
- DSLR or Mirrorless cameras
- A good wide angle for the lupines and waterfalls, 16-35, 24-70 can be prime lenses as well
- A telephoto zoom, 70-200 or 135 prime
- Graduated Neutral Density filters, 3 stop soft or full kit
- Circular polarizer
- Lens cleaning cloth – for waterfall spray but good to have at anytime
- Good sturdy tripod
